Mandalay to Hsipaw by train, Cycle to Pyay via Inle Lake and Bagan. Bus from Pyay to Yangon and plane to Chiang Mai where I ride the Mai Hong Son Loop + Gps Info.

BURMA: - Monday December 8, 2014

Bangkok to Mandalay: - Hassles, Taxi and Air Asia
Mandalay Sights: - Car, bike, boat and buggy ride
Mandalay to Hsipaw: - The carriages furiously rock and bounce
Hsipaw sights: - Coffee shop river views are great but the coffee wasn't
Hsipaw to Kyaukme: - Colonial buildings caught my eye
Kyaukme to Pyin Oo Lwin: - The sun zapped my energy so I struggled
Pyin Oo Lwin Sights: - History tour of a town that had it's heyday in the 1920's
Pyin Oo Lwin to Kyaukse: - Need good brakes, 30 kilometres of downhill
Kyaukse to Ywangan: Lots of steep climbing, mtb granny gear territory
Ywangan to Pindaya: - Wet, Muddy and Slippery road
Pindaya to NyaungShwe: - Nice morning walk to the cave and surrounds
Inle Lake sights: - Lots of people riding hire bikes
NyaungShwe to Kalaw: - Swish cycle tour group went past
Kalaw rest day: - Great food and could spend a few days taking it easy
Kalaw to Meiktila: - 25 kilometres of downhill
Meiktila to Mt Popa: - Killer climb at the end
Mt Popa to Bagan: - not an enjoyable section of road
Bagan sights: - Temples in all directons as far as the eye can see
Bagan to Yenangyaung: - touring cyclist appeared from nowhere
Yenangyaung to Magway: - fighter jet rushing through the sky
Magway to Aung Lan: - see the police and they'll tell you
Aung Lan to Pyay: - crossed paths with the mystery cyclist
Pyay to Yangon: - I feared for the bike
Yangon sights: - Heritage town

Soppong to Pai: - Nice weather and roads
Pai rest days: - the end is near, starting to wind down

Chiang Mai: - Few lazy days
