      April 20 - Portland to Atlanta: Flying: no volcano here, just lots of clouds

Spain - April 22- 28: Walking Barcelona, Bilbao, and Donostia/San Sebastian

Carcassonne and Provence - April 29-May 14: Walking areas we wish we could have ridden

Loire Valley: Châteaux in the Playground of Kings

      May 15 - Getting to the Loire: The tour finally begins
      May 16 - Blois to Chambord loop: Château et un petit l'or
      May 17 - Blois to Cheverny loop: Houston, we have a problem
      May 18 - Blois to Amboise: Problem solved, so now to cruise along the Loire
      May 19 - Amboise to Chenonceaux loop: A beautiful day at a most beautiful château
      May 20 - Amboise to Azay-le-Rideau: Sandy's favorites - riding in the country or along a quiet stream and hardly any cars
      May 21 - Azay-le-Rideau to Chinon: Château! Château! They are everywhere!
      May 22 - Chinon: Rest day - Sunny and peaceful
      May 23 - Chinon to Saumur: Receiving and giving help - cyclists do it easily

      May 25 - Saumur to Dinan: Train Day, but not a smooth one
      May 26 - Dinan: Rest day, and a wet one at that
      May 27 - Dinan to Combourg: A day of planned and unplanned detours
      May 28 - Combourg to Mont St Michel: Arriving at a 'bucket list' site
      May 29 - Le Mont St Michel: Rest day, except for the climb to the top
      May 30 - Le Mont St Michel: Rest Day 2 - Happy we are staying put

Normandie: The D-Day Beaches and 66th Anniversary of the Invasion

      June 1 - Granville to Carentan: WET, wet, and more wet - the almost endless rain
      June 2 - Carentan: Rest day - at least the sun is out and its not raining

      June 5 - Bayeux: Rest day and a date with history
      June 6 - Bayeux to Beuvron-en-Auge: D-Day! We are part of the pre-parade activities at the Pegasus Bridge ;)
      June 7 - Beuvron-en-Auge: Rest Day: 25 years together and celebrating it in the most beautiful village in France
      June 8 - Beuvron-en-Auge to Lisieux: A short ride to a small room with a very tiny bath
      June 9 - Lisieux: Rest Day - playing pilgrim with friends
      June 10 - Lisieux to Honfluer: A couple of wet road rats - at least we were alive
      June 11 - Honfleur: Rest Day 1 - we need it after all that rain
      June 12 - Honfleur: Rest Day 2 - Our long-time Dutch friends arrive
      June 13 - Honfleur: Rest Day 3 - So short a visit
      June 14 - Honfleur to Jumieges: Wet and steep, but a good ending for the day
      June 15 - Jumieges to Rouen: Not quite how we expected to end the cycling
      June 16 - Rouen: We were Impressed!
      June 17 - Rouen to Vernon: To the Land of Monet
      June 18 - Giverny: A visit to the Master's gardens
      June19 - Vernon and Giverny: One last day to wander about
      June 20 - Vernon to Paris: Encountering another nice Parisian as we head for home
