Welcome to the journal of our cross country adventure. Our trip leaves San Francisco on June 1 and ends 52 days later in Portsmouth, NH on July 22. Both CJ and I are avid cyclists and have completed rides including RAGBRAI, Bike Florida, Bike Virginia, Cycle NC, Assault on Mt Mitchell, 6 Gap and various other local events. CJ is also a gold medalist in the 2007 National Senior Games in both time trial and road racing events. She also qualified for the Hawaii Ironman Triathlon in 2004. Both of us have run marathons including Boston, Marine Corps, and on our honeymoon, New York. (It was cheaper than the Gray Line bus and our tour was much better!) To view our journal, scroll down past our picture, under the title, click on Bike Across America - 2008. Once there you have a few options. Scroll down past table of contents and click on Prologue. We will be adding chapters to the Journal as we travel so it should be easy to tell if we have posted updates. At the top of each page, there is a banner that has several options. The option that is usually automatically selected is "Journals". Below that line are all of the options associated with "Journals" including "Guestbook" . If you click Guestbook, you will be routed to our guestbook where you may read all of the messages left for us and also our replies. If you wish to post an entry into the guestbook, simply click "Post New Thread" located at the top of the guestbook entries. Your entry will be posted to the guestbook and we will also receive an e-mail alert that we have a new posting. As we do not have an Internet connection each night, it may be a day or two before we respond. We hope you enjoy our journey.
