When I first came to CGoaB.com, I was a 42 year old Canadian guy about to take his first bike tour. Now I'm older (according to the calendar, anyway) and have taken one tour a year since starting. In between, I'm a UNIX systems analyst for the Securities division of a Canadian chartered bank - well, the whole damned bank, now. I live in Toronto.
I've been back on a bike now since about 1994, commuting between 10 and 15 kilometers a day. In the 12 months leading up to my Lake Ontario trip, I had been doing longer and longer rides for fun, and so decided to do the tour.
Reading other folks' journals here and on other sites (and books) made me decide I'd put mine here as well, even though my trips aren't going to be the epic odysseys that most of these journals describe.
I hope you all enjoy reading about me getting 'around.'
Me, curling. Note bike gloves.
