I'm a year-round cyclist/commuter/bike tourer/adventurer/bike lover/what-have-you. I've been on several bicycle tours around the US and Canada, including a stint down the Pacific Coast (Tillamook OR-Cambria CA) in '06. I've done many tours around the Pacific Northwest, including a stint on the TransAm between Eugene and Baker City CA in June 2010, around the Olympic Peninsula in July of 2010, and along the Sierra Cascades route in Oregon in July of 2013.
During the summer of 2011 (May 27-Oct 7), my ex-girlfriend April and I embarked on a 4,000 mile bike tour through the US and Canada, traveling between Portland and Chicago via the Canadian Rockies and Prairies. Stories from that tour can be found on my blog,
I am involved with the Portland-based non-profit Cycle Wild. Cycle Wild's mission is to reconnect people with nature via the bicycle. We do that by offering several S240s during the year to campgrounds easily reached from the metro Portland area. More info at http://cyclewild.org/
Lots of photos of my adventures can be found over on flickr:
